Back Porch Bakery is a vehicle to share my passion for creating delicious food with others.
I have always enjoyed cooking and baking. I love taking ingredients, whether simple or complex, and transforming them into something delicious. My dream for some time has been to have my own bakery or other eatery to share my passion with more than my family and friends, who encouraged me to follow my heart. In June 2014, my home kitchen was permitted and I was officially a Cottage Food Operation (CFO). I operated for a year selling artisan baked goods at fairs and festivals.
In May 2015, I decided to take the next step, so leased a commercial kitchen in Morgan Hill, California and received my California Processed Food Registration. This allows me to expand my product line and sell products online and ship products within and outside of California. I am still making delicious artisan baked goods, but the commercial kitchen and new registration opens up new possibilities.
